At Ratnamani, we contribute year after year to the conservation of rainwater, which is the need of the hour. Both quantity and quality of water were big issues in the Mehsana and Kutch districts of Gujarat. Beginning in 2013, the total number of ponds developed is now 22 and growing. In Gujarat, we have developed them in the water-starved districts of Kutchh, Mehasana, and Gandhinagar. We take up pond-deepening projects with the target of increasing the water harvesting capacity in a scientific way and studying the geological conditions of the area. These projects have helped to increase one crop per year, double the irrigation area, tackle the issues of scarce drinking water, lower temperatures, and facilitate aquatic life.
